Plot
A Civil War soldier of Company A, who goes by the name Fred Collins, is in the middle of the Civil War. He seeks water from a well in the middle of the battlefield. He comes to the realization that he would have to risk his life to enter the middle of the battle. He is harassed by his fellow soldier until he decides to asks his commanding officer to allow him to retrieve water from the well. Collins is granted permission, however he must go and fill everyone's canteens. He doesn't fear anything, but when he starts to fills the canteens he panics. Collins rashly fills a nearby bucket and rushes back towards his fellow soldiers. On his way back he hears the shouts of a crying officer shot off a horse, begging for water. He runs passed him, but gives it a second thought and returns to the officer and gives him water. When Collins returns, his fellow soldiers spills the water.
